“The best teachers are those who show you where to look, but don’t tell you what to see”
~Alexandra K. Trenfor

My name is Justin Bechthold and I am a graduate of the University of Lethbridge with my Bachelor of Education After Degree, with great distinction, with a Science Education Major & Mathematics Education Minor. I also have my Bachelor of Science, with distinction, concentrating in Chemistry and Mathematics from the University of Calgary. I am currently teaching grade 8 Mathematics & Science at a local Calgary school.

I was born and raised in Calgary, AB where I grew up with my parents and younger sister Jessica. I am an active person who loves to work out, hike through the mountains, run and play basketball. I use these activities as escapes from everyday life, before bringing myself back to reality. I have experience coaching, tutoring and working with exceptional learners, which I am excited to integrate into my classroom.

For three summers, I volunteered at Casa de Paz Orphanage in Baja Mexico. This was a fantastic experience where I got to see the huge benefits that could be brought to the lives of children just by providing support of their basic needs. This has sparked an interest in me to get involved with organizations in the future to provide relief to communities in various areas of the world.
